DIAPERS!!

Chris came home with bags of diapers and wipes on Wednesday. His co-workers game him a surprise diaper shower at work. Ava was thrilled to reopen the bags. She was moving a little too fast for me to keep up with her with the camera. I never thought I'd be so extremely thankful for diapers and wipes!

Rainy Days

The weather here has been very gloomy and depressing. I will take all the rain we've had here over the snow our relatives have had in Minnesota though. Sunday we stayed inside and did crafts...

...and cooked a lot. We had desert for lunch. I made some really yummy apple enchiladas.

Ava's Bed

Sunday morning Ava ran to tell Chris and I we had to come in her room because she made her bed all by herself. Although her blanket and comforter were in the wash, she did a great job making her bed on her own! She was very proud of herself!

36 Weeks

I'm a week late with this, so technically tomorrow I will be 37 weeks. The day this picture was taken was another day that the baby decided it would play some mind games with Mommy and Daddy. I had to call labor and delivery at 5:00 AM and was told to stay home from work. I did as told and then called my doctor when they opened at 7:00. By 8:30 when they called back it was quite clear this child had changed his/her mind about coming into the world. We continue to wait and each day I wonder how I'm going to make it until May 2!!

Cherry Berry

We had two showings on the house this weekend!! The one today was the people that cancelled on us last time. It was a bonus for us because we only had to clean once and got a double whammy! Since we've had to be out of the house, today we picked up my parents and went to check out the Cherry Berry that recently opened. It was delicious! Although there were lots of choices, Ava knew she wanted strawberry and banana swirl with nerds, strawberries and two gummy bears right away! I think the adults had a more difficult time than her! I am a sold customer on the espresso and chocolate twist!!
 Ava's creation.
YUM!!! (Yes, snowflakes on the shirt...I think Daddy's plan this morning when he dressed her was to think cold and it would be beautiful. His tactic was successful!!)

Betty Brinn Children's Museum

Since we were home a day earlier than expected from the water park, we had to find something else fun to do because we still had another family day! We decided to head to the Betty Brinn Children's Museum in Milwaukee. Chris had never been there with us and Ava and I hadn't been there in a little over a year. The Sendik's grocery store was a hit for Ava.
She baked for quite awhile in the bakery of the store.
Then it was on to the bank. She was talking to a customer and completing a loan application.

Pretending to be a scuba diver in the Mr. Potato Head exhibit.
 Golfing with Daddy!

Spring Break Getaway=BUST!!

Wednesday after Chris was done with work we headed to Country Springs Hotel and Waterpark for a little spring break get away. The first night was so awful, loud and ridiculous Chris and I decided to ask for a late check out so Ava could still go to the water park but we could get out of our misery. While it wasn't what we intended, it worked out fine. Ava still got her water park fix and we actually got to sleep that night in the peace of our own home! We waited in line for the water park to open on Thursday morning.
Ava got her goggles on and hopped into the basketball hoop pool.

After bravely venturing down a big slide solo (she definitely didn't know what she was getting herself into nor did Chris and I) she decided this little slide was more her pace.
