Happy Mother's Day

We made the rounds to my grandparents houses today for Mother's Day. My cousin's girls were at my grandparents, so they had fun exploring with Grammy. They were looking for the kittens in the barn.

Gianna got to try our her new ride from KK and Josh yesterday! She loved her new car!

School Yard Fun!

Since everyone in the house but me was sick last weekend, we didn't get to enjoy the beautiful weather last weekend. Thankfully it was even more beautiful this weekend so we could actually enjoy it together! Having the walking path to the elementary school yard from our subdivision is awesome!!! There's a ton of green space, soccer goals and the playground. We love being able to take a short walk and have tons of space to run and have fun! There's a patch of flowers Ava likes to visit.

 She picked a tulip...

 and smelled it. Then looked at it, screamed, cried and threw it to the ground. I finally got it out of her that she thought there was a spider in the flower. I didn't see anything, but she would not come near me when it was in my hand and kept telling me to throw it down or put it back. Obviously, my kid as an issue with bugs!!

 She used her Easter money to buy herself a soccer ball. After our first visit to the park, she decided she needed a ball to bring. (I agree with her!) This was the first time I watched her "play soccer" and she did well! 

 I love the little "HAHA! I did it" grin on her face!

 Gianna was very content to sit in the grass, pick at the dirt and watch Ava.

Making Music

Ava asked what she could use to make music today. The girls had fun banging on bowls!

Gianna's First Birthday!!

Gianna woke up to her door being decorated for her birthday. The rest of her day went downhill. :( I got a call at work less than a half hour after she'd been dropped off at daycare that she'd gotten sick. So no cake smashing or fun for our little birthday girl. She didn't even open presents.

Yesterday, Chris got called about noon saying Ava had gotten sick. This morning between movies and snuggles, Ava wanted to give Gianna the present she'd gotten her. Gianna was more interested in the card, so Ava opened the present for her.

 I love watching the girls play together. Gianna wants to be like her big sister so badly!

 They also had a little time to play together at the easel Chris and I got Gianna.
