Private Swimming Lessons with Miss Beth

Yesterday I started my first independent swimming lessons! That's right...NO MORE MOMMY! I get to swim with Miss Beth now. Mommy met Miss Beth when she was 16 and started her lifeguard training courses at the KYF. Miss Beth taught Mommy to be a lifeguard and a WSI swimming teacher. Mommy and Miss Beth taught swimming lessons together for over 6 years. Mommy found Beth again and asked if she'd be willing to do my swimming lessons. I grabbed Miss Beth's hand and walked right into the pool with her while Mommy and Daddy watched me outside the window. I did a great job swimming and can't wait to go back next week! Mommy says this is the beginning of my training. I've got 12-14 years to develop my skills so I can swim just like Michael Phelps!

Post-Pictures

The kids were SOAKED after taking pictures. It was so fun to see all of them running around on the beach and getting wet as the waves came in. Most of them were stripped down at the car and rode home in diapers or undies. We stopped at "Old McDonald's" for an ice cream come. Since she needed a bath to get rid of the sand we figured we'd let her make a mess with the ice cream first!

Cousin Photo Shoot

Tuesday night we went to take pictures of the two youngest grandchildren and the great grandchildren. Everyone was in town for the Zarletti Picnic so the kids we had to take advantage of all the kids being together. Steven (at the top) and Becca are my cousins. The other boys belong to two of my cousins. Ava and Conner (sitting with Becca) are less than a month apart.

The tide was in a lot more than I thought it would be so the kids were SOAKED when we were done. I think I got the best pictures when I was just sitting on the rock letting things happen.

Zarletti Picnic

Sunday was the annual Zarletti Family Picnic. We had so much fun again this year. I think it gets better as Ava gets older and can enjoy it more.
The crazy flower sprinkler was a hit.

Enough of the sprinkler, KK, showed Ava how to get up to go down the slide.

Ava playing with my cousin, Rebecca, and my cousin's son, Conner. Conner's either not sure about the two crazy girls or the temperature of the water.
My cousin, Kara's, little guy got past his Daddy and went for the water. "Hey, are you suppose to come in yet? Your Mommy didn't put your swimsuit on you yet."
"Well, since you're in, let's play!!"
Ava tried to break open the pinata.
Forget the pool and slide, someone fits in the washtub just fine. I have a similar picture from last year.

Silly Faces

Lately, when I ask Ava to smile she gives me all these goofy faces.

 I love this cheesy smile!
Enough of the pictures...let's get wet!

Sandy's Popper Adventure

Friday night we took an adventure to Sandy's Popper and got some yummy popcorn to munch on by the lake. We stopped to take a couple pictures on the way down to the lake.

We found a bench and opened our yummy popcorn and enjoyed!

Papa's Sprinkler

Last week when we went to the market Papa found a sprinkler for Ava. She got to break it in last night with Oliver. Oliver kept jumping up and opening his mouth to the water.
