2008 In Review

2008 was a busy year in the Zarletti-Passe household! This summer we finished the landscaping in the backyard. Our house is now rid of all the overgrown, ugly bushes that were here when we bought the house. We also put in some new windows this summer with the help of my dad and Uncle Steve. Chris stained all the windows and new trim. That was a time consuming project! We're now dreaming up plans for this summer's remodeling projects! I never thought I'd be comparing toilets, sinks, and carpet!
Chris is still working at All Saints as a physical therapist. He completed his doctorate this December and is now officially Dr. Christopher Passe. This is his fifth season with the Tremper Wrestling team as an assistant coach. From what I hear, the team is looking pretty good this year. This summer he also found his new hobby...golfing!! He even hit the course one afternoon with my Grampa! He also ran the 10 mile lighthouse run in June. I was scared he'd blow out another knee, but he did awesome.
This is my third year teaching kindergarten at Union Grove Elem. I absolutely love my class! I finished my third sememster of grad school in December and will be graduating in May. I decided to try my luck in the running world and did my first run with my sister on Thanksgiving. It wasn't as bad as I thought and I plan to do a couple more.
Another highlight of our year is that the Dolphins and Vikings are in the playoffs!!
We hope you have a happy and healthy 2009!

Christmas...Take 4

Our final stop of the day was to mom and dad's house. We had the ravioli we made a few weeks ago for dinner.

Every year, dad hides a pickle ornament in the tree. The first person to find it gets an extra gift. This year I found the pickle in record time!

Mom leading us into the living room after the pickle was hidden. NO PEEKING!!

As you can tell, I was pretty excited with the outcome. Kaitlin and Chris...not so much!

Christmas...Take 3

After we were done at Gramma and Grampa's we came home to have Christmas at our house.
Chris was way too excited about his new wrestling shoes.
Marley LOVED her Neverending Treat Ball that Santa brought.
Patiently waiting for the first present from Santa.

Christmas...Take 2

In keeping with traditions, we went to Gramma and Grampa Zarletti's house on Christmas Eve for the traditional Italian feast. Christmas morning, we went back to Gramma and Grampa's for breakfast and gift opening.

Happy Birthday to You!!!

Today was Chris's 29th birthday. When he got home from work he had to follow the clues to his birthday present.
Clue #1
Clue #2

Mangia bene!!

Chris and I helped make about 12 dozen ravioli for Christmas dinner. We had a lot of fun and a lot of wine!

Chris forking the ravioli.

Deck the Halls...

We put up the tree and lights outside this weekend. This is what Marley thought of the whole decorating process.

Kaitlin had to help with the lights on top of the tree.

Cleaning up the mess!
