Gone Fishing

Chris and Dad went fishing on Powers Lake on Saturday and Sunday. Chris caught a couple Northern, perch, bluegill, and this bass. All of the fish were too small or too few to keep. They had fun out on the S.S. Minnow though.

The Best Signs of Fall

Yesterday Chris went fishing with dad, so I went to school to finish lesson plans and do some other work. After I was done I decided to make the first of many trips to Brightonwoods Apple Orchard. They make the best apple cider!! Going there reminds me of all the yummy fall treats.

Friday night after work, Chris decided he wanted to tear the tile out of the entryway so it could be retiled to match the fireplace. I think he's beginning to live for home projects, dust, and dirt!

Grampa's Plow Demo

Chris and I went to watch Grampa Uhlenhake in the antique tractor plow demo this morning. When we got there he was doing something with the plow. It was fun to watch him and hear him talk tractors and BS with the other old farmers.

Unexpected Addition

When I got home from work tonight I looked in the baby's room and noticed the valances magically appeared! Mom "broke into" the house this afternoon and put them up for us! I guess she tried to have them up yesterday, but when she tried to put them up the curtain pocket was too small. She had to rip the stitching out and make it bigger. We LOVE them! Thanks mom!

We picked up the new glider for the room last week on Friday. Chris has been practicing rocking in it! :)
