San Francisco- Day 4

On Friday we went to the Natural Science Museum and to Muir Woods to see the Redwoods. The museum is in the background with the grass roof.

San Francisco- Day 3

On Thursday, we went to visit Chris's cousin, Mike, in Sacramento. We got to see the beautiful house he built. We were also able to go to lunch with him and a student from Sweden that was staying with him. On our way back, we found an awesome spot to take pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge.

San Francisco- Day 2

We got a new set of wheels today!
On our way to Fisherman's Wharf, we stumbled upon AT&T Park.

We went for some sour dough. They had some awesome animal creations out of the bread.
The sea lions at Pier 39.
We also went out to Alcatraz.
A view from the island. The Bay Bridge is in the background.
At the end of our tour, one of the former Alcatraz inmates was signing a book he wrote. He was #1422 and was there from 1959-1963, when Alcatraz was ordered closed. He was in for bank robbery.

Walking up this was quite the hike! It was a beautiful view to look down at though.
The most crooked street in the world.

San Francisco- Day 1

We got to San Francisco on Tuesday, April 14th. When we went to get our rental car which was supposed to be a Ford Focus (even though all the cars the company had were Chrysler) we both were shocked to have to drive a bright shiny red mini-van! I thought Chris was kidding when he told me we had a mini-van! As the picture proves, he was not! Let me tell you this beast was not easy to park!
We went to Golden Gate Park and saw some beautiful gardens.

We also went on a street car ride.

I loved these trees with the hanging flowers.
