First Summer Festival

Last night we went to Greek Fest. Mommy and Daddy had some really yummy looking food! I didn't get to sample the gyro this year.

Instead I chewed my toys. Maybe next year!

Big Girl!

The last few days I've been sitting up for quite awhile all by myself. Playing with my toys sitting up is really fun!

Speedo Chick

I had a very busy day today! The morning was filled with rummaging with Mommy, her friend, Nikki, and my new friend Addy. After my nap Mommy took me outside to go swimming! She cleaned Marley's pool out for me to splash in. Mommy said it would have been funny to see Marley in the pool with me. I also got to wear my first official piece of Speedo swim attire! Mommy hopes there will be many more pieces of Speedo gear in my future to line up her wash line.

Monday Morning Walk

Ruth is on vacation this week so Mommy and I get to be together all week. This morning we went for a long walk down by the lake. Mommy stopped me to take a few pictures. Go figure, Mommy had her camera with!

I pulled up to the fountain by the muesum and my jaw dropped. It was SOOO cool to watch.
I thought the fountain was funny!

After our walk we headed home to play while it rained a little. Tonight I got to experience jam making for the first time. It will be a little while before I can sample it though.

New Countertops

Our new countertops were installed on Friday. Chis is going to order the stone for the backsplash tomorrow. The only things we have left to do is paint the windows and trim. Put up the trim and put in the backsplash. I am so happy with the countertops! I wasn't absolutely sold that we should replace them, but I am so glad we did now!

OK, I know I'm an old lady when I say this, but I LOVE my undermount sink! I'm so glad to be rid of the old sink that collected water behind it and the counter and was repulsive to clean up.

Ballerina Pictures

Last week I had a photo shoot in my ballerina tutu. Three years ago Mommy had a little girl in her class who's mother (Janet) asked if she could come take pictures when they had the kindergarten sock hop. Mommy told her yes and later Janet gave Mommy a copy of all the pictures. They were beautiful and it looked like a professional came in to take them. This year Mommy had another of Janet's kids in her class. Mommy wanted so badly to ask her to take my pictures but didn't know if it would be weird because John was in her class. Janet offered and Mommy took her up on her offer. Janet is still working on editing some of my pictures, but sent Mommy this one as a preview. Mommy said she LOVES it and can't wait to get the rest of the pictures.

Lumberjacks and Loungers

Daddy and Papa played lumberjacks in the backyard with the tree this afternoon. While they did that Mommy and I hung out on the front porch and watered flowers. I got to wear my favorite outfit...my diaper!

This morning we were able to get a better look at the tree and how it fell. We were very lucky that it fell right between the house and the garage and there doens't appear to be any damage. We'll have to have WE Energies and the phone company come out to fix some lines that came off the house and fell down. We now will have another summer project of finding someone to cut the gigantic tree down.

Wedding Day

Last night Chris and I went to my friend, Nicole's wedding. Apparently all of our husbands called each other to coordinate their attire!

Our festivities were cut a little short thought. On the way to the wedding we drove through some really bad storms with horrible winds and rain. Dad called us about 8:30 to let us know that a large branch from our tree had fallen. We came home to this!

7 Months Old!

Today was my 7 month birthday! Mommy and Daddy say I am developing quite a personality. I really like to stick my tounge out and spit. The other kids at Ruth's house keep telling Ruth that I'm not suppose to spit because it's not nice. I started to drink a milk based formula to see if my allergy is gone. Our fingers are still crossed, but I'm doing well so far! I eat my other solid foods like a champ. My favorite fruit so far is pears and I really like sweet potatoes. I'm learning to drink out of a sippy cup and am doing well. I still love my baths and getting everyone and everything as wet as possible. My taggie blanket is my new favorite thing. I love jumping in my Jumperoo and being outside now that the weather is nice again. Today I started to scoot on my tummy to reach a toy I really wanted. I did it a couple times, so Daddy is excited that I might be thinking about something called crawling.

New Discovery...

The last couple days I have learned to make a new face and noise! Mommy says it's my naughty face when I'm eating. I like to do it and make a big mess! This afternoon I started making my face and noise while I was eating my bananas. I think Mommy secretly thinks it's funny.

Chillin on the Porch

This afternoon I sat on the porch and watched the cars before I took a nap. I was happy to see the sun shinning and be able to be outside!

I really liked lounging in the chair!
I tried to rip my hat off, but couldn't get it.

I got my hat off and noticed Mommy's flower on the table by the chair. First I just looked but...

then I grabbed! I was curious about that flower!

Cartoons Please

Today was the first Monday of Mommy's summer vacation and it was a yucky morning. I slumpt over in the chair and played with the remote.

Nadia's Baptism

Sunday morning we went to Nadia's baptism. She had a gorgeous dress on! After the baptism we headed back home.

Lobster Fest

Saturday we went to Lobster Fest at Aunt Kerry and Uncle Scott's house. I got to meet some new people and see others that I've already met.

I met Great Aunt Dort and Sara.
I got to see Nadia again. It was too cold for us to take a dip in her pool though.

This time when I saw Nadia I really wanted to grab at her. I wanted to hug and kiss her and play with her beautiful curls. I got a smooch from Nadia!

First Hotel Stay

We went to Minnesota for the weekend and I got to stay in a hotel! Daddy and Mommy said I slept like a champ. They had to wake me up at 7:10 on Sunday morning so we could get ready for Nadia's baptism. I had fun over the weekend!

Busy Weekend!

We had a very busy weekend! Saturday we had our swimming lesson and then we used our zoo pass for the first time and went to the Milwaukee Zoo. I loved looking into the huge aquariums. Most of the fish were bigger than me! Today the three of us went to pick out a new sink so we're ready for the kitchen remodel. Mommy and Daddy said this is the last of the major home projects. Then I went with Mommy to the teacher store in Illinois. Tonight we went to a graduation party at the IA. Teresa graduated. They are very good family friends and Mommy taught her how to swim when she was little. Mommy said she feels really old. We didn't stay too long because I was tired and needed to nap.

Rooster Tail

Monday morning I woke up with CRAZY hair! Daddy said it looks like I've been playing with the roosters. Mommy says she thinks I have some natural curls and the humid weather is making my hair have a mind of its own. Mommy said it's a good thing we have a lot of barettes!
