Mom's Garden

We were over at Mom and Dad's for dinner on Sunday. She's got beautiful spring flowers right now. Since I don't have a human subject that sits still to let her Mommy practice new techniques from the last photography class, the flowers are the next best thing.

Ava+Ball=Lots of Entertainment

The weather was AMAZING again on Sunday. Ava was outside ALL day. She was quite entertained throwing, rolling and chasing her ball up and down the driveway. She was quite the diva in her new shades. We had to take her inside kicking and screaming when it was nap time. She sure did nap well though!

Happy Birthday, Nonna!

We went to Nonna and Papa's house to celebrate Nonna's birthday on Friday night. I was so excited to help Nonna open her present. I yelled, "It's your Pandora braclet, Nonna!"
I liked looking at Nonna's cake with all the candles lit.
Nonna let me help her blow out the candles. It was the first time I actually blew some candles out. Mommy joked that I should be a pro by my third birthday.

My Buddy, Oliver!

Friday night I played with Oliver in Nonna and Papa's backyard. I threw his frisbee for him.

"What's over there, Oliver? Too bad this fence is in our way!"

FINALLY!!

After waiting for Ava's bedroom furniture to arrive since NOVEMBER (yes, that's right we waited 4 months) she finally has a big girl bed. Needless to say there is a certain place we will not be purchasing from ever again!

A Night of Fun!

Yesterday was BEAUTIFUL outside! It was still in the upper 70's when we got home, so Mommy, Daddy and I played outside until I had to be thrown in the tub and put to bed. We had so much fun outside I got to go to bed a little late because we just didn't want to come inside. I got to play in my sandbox for the first time in awhile!

Daddy stopped and got subs on the way home and we had a picnic in the back yard. Who ever thought we'd be having a picnic in capris, short sleeves and sandles in March!

After we were done eating I helped Daddy "scoop" the pond. I love watching the fish in the pond. Mommy said I scared her because I yelled and shrieked, "Look, look, look...the FISH!!!"

I was also busy with this branch for awhile. I thought it was pretty fun to play with.

LaCrosse

Last Friday, Chris and I took a half day and headed to LaCrosse for the D3 Wrestling Nationals. We got to our hotel just in time to see a beautiful sunset over the Mississippi.

I love downtown LaCrosse!! We had a blast staying downtown. We were right next door to the LaCrosse Center, where the wrestling was going on. It was also nice to park the car and not need it because all the restaurants, shops and bars we needed were right there. UW-L did pretty well...4th in the nation!
Between sessions we headed up to Granddad's Bluff with some of Chris's buddies and their wives. It was extremely windy but still beautiful. They've made a lot of changes to the park since we've last been up there.

 Close up views of campus.
We had a great weekend in LaCrosse but it was nice to come home to see Ava. Thanks for watching her, Mom and Dad!

Chatty Cathy!

Ava LOVES the phone! It doesn't really matter if there's anyone on the other line or not. If there isn't she makes up the person to talk to. This particular morning, she was chatting with Daddy. Listening carefully...
Hmmmm....tell me more!
 Oh...YEAH!!

Spring Weather

Wednesday night after we got home, Mommy and I played outside for a long time because it was beautiful out. I got to go for a ride in my wagon.

I blew bubbles.
I also sat on the porch watching the cars go by.
I also informed Mommy that she should call Andy because our fliers were getting low!

This is What Happens...

...when you take big girl undies to Daddy and tell him you want to wear them! Nice fashion statement, Daddy!

Typical Lounge Day

Ava loves running around in her diaper. If she could she'd either be in her diaper or jammies all the time. Sunday morning she decided she didn't want to wear the jammies and sat in her chair bundled up playing her Team Umi Zoomi game. She obviously takes after Chris with her hot blood!

LISTED!!!!

Last week on Wednesday we met with our realtor, Andy, to look at a house and sign the listing contract to put our house on the market. The house we looked at wasn't for us, but less than an hour after signing the contract, this sign was in our front yard. I got a little teary eyed watching Andy stomp the sign into our yard. It's such a bittersweet feeling to have our house listed.
