Lake Andrea

Today we went to the beach at Lake Andrea with M.J. and Finley. The girls had a blast running back and forth between the water and sand toys! Gianna was quick to get into the sand! I think she enjoyed her first trip to the beach.

Kinetic Sand

I got Ava some kinetic sand to try. We played with it outside for quite awhile!

 Gianna was convinced the kinetic sand was a snack, so she got to swing instead. 

Bowling Fundraiser

Yesterday we had our Relay for Life bowling fundraiser. Bowling was on Ava's summer bucket list, so she was excited when we told her she got to go bowling for the afternoon while her sister stayed with a sitter. 

 Daddy helped her out on her first turns.

 Before long she was bowling by herself! 

 I needed some proof that I smoked Chris!!

 Ava had a very important job in pulling winner's tickets for the raffles. She pulled my name for a pedicure and Papa's name for some "man" stuff. Good picks, Ava!

 Mr. Gary had to buy Ava her first Slurpie because he said she worked so hard pulling the winners. She was in heaven! We had a fabulous time and raised some great money for our team!

Waterford Balloon Festival

Saturday afternoon we took the girls out to Waterford for the balloon festival. We've never been there, and it was totally awesome! We got to play some games, eat some yummy food and hang out with friends while we waited to see if the hot air balloons would be able to take their flight.

 I take what I can get for sibling photos at this point! 

 Finally got Gianna making her silly face. I LOVE this face!!

 We hung out with the Luburich's for a bit.

 We had to watch the colored flag on the right. Red was signifying the pilots could not prepare their balloons at all. The wind speeds had to be 12 MPH or less. There were several meetings that took place with the head balloon guy to determine if flight was safe.

 Red quickly turned to yellow. That told pilots they could begin their cold inflation.

 We hung out with Finley and M.J and hoped the yellow flag would turn green!

 It did!!! The process of watching the balloons get ready for flight was so awesome! I was shocked at how quick they got the balloons out, inflated and in flight!

 They're off! This was the first balloon to take flight.

 The second balloon is off! 

 Gianna was quite amused at the balloons flying over her head! We will definitely go back next year. We'll make sure to stay later for the glow part though.

Pool Party!!

Tammy invited all of us over for a pool party. She has a beautiful pool and had quite the spread of yummy treats for us! 

 The girls had a blast in the pool!! 

 This is the spitting face I have worked so hard to extinguish. Five minutes with M.J. and she's got it all back. Each time Gianna saw M.J. in the pool after that she would stick her tongue out and spit at her. 

Sunday Fun Day

Last weekend, we had Ava paint some canvases for the office. We offered the paint to Gianna, but she was more content with the water table and eating fish!

Bathing Beauty

Ava and I soaked up some rays during Gianna's nap time on Friday. I actually got to read my book while I sat with Ava. It was a strange feeling!
