We went in to be induced on Nov. 17th (Tues.) at 6:00 am. Labor went quickly once the pitocin was started, but things took an unexpected turn when the baby's heart rate dipped with contractions and pushing. They gave me an injection to stop the contractions and opted for an emergency c-section. Chris and I were both a bit scared because we just wanted the baby to be OK. Ava Grace Passe came into the world at 1:18 PM on Tuesday, November 17, 2009. She weighed 6 pounds, 13 ounces, and was 19.5 inches long. She has a ton of black hair and is just perfect! We are planning on going home sometime later today.

Ava...we are so excited for your arrival. I think your Mommy must teach my Mommy how to make hats! It is adorable - just like you! I hope you guys are comfy cozy in your home tonight as a new family! :-)
