12 Month Wellness Check...FINALLY!

I FINALLY had my 12 month wellness exam today! The date I was originally suppose to see Dr. Rocco, I was sick with an ear infection and croup. Mommy took me to see Terry last week on Thursday, but Terry was sick and had to go home. Today Papa went with us again so he could help with the blood draw I had to have! Mommy was scared she'd pass out, so Papa took over for her! Terry said I look great and am one healthy little girl. I was 31.25 inches long which put me off of the charts. I am above the 95th percentile for my height. I weighted 21 pounds and 9 ounces, which is in the 50th percentile. Terry said my speech is great and I know how to say as many words as she'd expect an 18th month old to know. I had to get two shots in my leg and then have my blood taken to check for lead and my hemoglobin. I got a cute little red bear for being a brave girl during my shots. The lady that took my blood gave me a sticker when I was done. If you look, you can see the really big bandage I got for my blood draw. After I got home I was pretty tuckered out! I ate lunch and Mommy and I took a 2 hour nap!

Parker

Parker's birthday is on December 26th, so we gave him his birthday present on Christmas too. He started wrestling a little while ago, so we got him some headgear for his birthday.
Daddy helped Parker make sure it fit him right.
Parker showed us his wrestling stance. I think he looks pretty tough in his new headgear!

Passe Christmas

After we opened presents at home, we hit the road and headed to Minnesota to Gramma and Grampa Passe's house for Christmas.
I opened a present from Jenn, Dave and Brydon and was so into the book they gave me that I didn't seem to notice the large package in front of me.
We gave Parker a duffle bag for wrestling practice.
Gramma was helping Parker read his birthday card.
Opening presents was serious business and made Brydon a bit warm!
Once all the presents were opened, Brydon and Parker played a serious game of Operation!

Santa Was Here!

On Christmas morning I woke Mommy and Daddy up bright and early because I knew Santa had visited our house! This is what he left in the living room!
With a little help from Daddy, I marched right over to my new leather chair to check out the things on the seat. I grabbed the smallest present first.
I opened my ornament from Mommy and Daddy.
Then I saw the sparklies on my stocking, so I went for that next.
There were books inside! I wasted NO time opening my book up to read it!
Christmas is fun and I LOVE my new books!
Then Daddy put a bigger package in my lap. I tore into it rather quickly!
Hmmm....what is this fun stuff?
I got my very own purse so I can go shopping with Mommy. Daddy laughed and said some day he's going to have to wait for me to grab my purse before I will leave with him. He said as long as he doesn't have to sing the same song that my purse does, he's OK with bringing the purse along!

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve I got into my Christmas dress and we went to Grammy and Grampy Zarletti's house for dinner. I didn't want to sit still long enough to let Mommy put my dress on. I was content to run around in my tights!
I was interested in my shoe that fell off, so I didn't really feel like looking at Mommy for a picture. This was the best I gave her.
I gave Mommy's cousin, Rebecca, lovin at Grammy and Grampy's house. Last year when I saw Rebecca I was just a little peanut and slept on her lap when she held me!

Snuggly Sweater

Yesterday Miss Zivka gave me a Christmas present. She knit me this snuggly sweater and gave me a Halloween jumper outfit to wear next Halloween. I love my Miss Zivka and so do Mommy and Daddy!

Making Biscotti

On Sunday when Mommy and Daddy got back Auntie, Nonna, Mommy and I made biscotti. I had a VERY important job...I had to guard the chocolate chips from any snitchers! Nonna made a special batch of plain biscotti for me! One batch had dried cherries, chocolate chips and almonds and the other batch had craisins and pistachios in it.
Emmmm...biscotti is good!

Signa and Dakota's Wedding

I spent the day and night with Nonna and Papa on Saturday because Mommy and Daddy went to a wedding in Madison. Mommy's college roommate, Signa, got married.
This is Mommy with the beautiful bride and her other college roommate, Carrie.
Since the ladies got a picture with Signa, Daddy and Dean wanted their turn too! Dean is Carrie's husband.

Mommy's Birthday Dinner

After we were done making over 12 dozen ravioli, Papa came home from work. He made Tony's Pasta for Mommy's birthday dinner. I got to eat some and it was YUMMY! I got to ride on Auntie's shoulders and play with her ponies in her hair.
Then I played with the fuzzy stuff on Auntie's slippers. She has fox fur on her slippers!
I ate the heel of the bread for dinner.
Auntie, Nonna and Papa surprised Mommy with a fancy purse for her birthday!

Ravioli Madness

We went to Nonna and Papa's today to make ravioli! Papa didn't make them with us this year because he was working. This year instead of sitting in the Kitchen Aid mixer bowl, I used the rolling pin!
Nonna filled some ravioli with cheese.
Daddy helped Nonna roll some of the dough.

Auntie forked the ravioli shut.
I was the supervisor!

Happy Birthday to Me!!!

I GOT MY CAMERA TODAY!!!! We finally settled our teaching contracts from the 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 school year and got our backpay. I went and picked my camera up tonight. I am beyond excited. Poor Ava, she'll probably have MORE pictures taken now as I'm planning to buy another lens after Christmas and will need a subject to practice on! Chris and I also watched Ava take 5-6 steps on her own tonight. It's just a matter of time until she's off! She seems to think her Mommy and Daddy's birthdays are the days to show off her skills!

Go Tremper Go!!

Last night Mommy and I went to see our first wrestling meet of the season. I wore my Tremper Wrestling shirt and was a good cheerleader for the boys. I stood by Mommy and yelled and clapped! Daddy said he heard me across the mats.

Jolly Old St. Nick

Monday morning I found this by the fireplace!
I got dressed and only had 1 shoe! How's a girl suppose to walk with only one shoe? St. Nick took my shoe so he could leave me something special. My shoe wasn't quite big enough to hold the gift.
He brought me a fridge farm! I love listening to the animal sounds it makes.

Sledding Fun!

This morning Mommy, Daddy and I bundled up and headed outside so I could use my sled!

I've never tried walking or playing in this stuff called snow, but it sure was fun! I sat down and put the snow that was on my mitten in my mouth.
Daddy pulled me around the yard really fast in my sled!
I just sat and giggled! It was so much fun!
