Busy Day!

Before my doctor's appointment Mommy and I went to the library. I have really been into dogs lately, so Mommy found me this special book to read. She said the dog on the front looked like Marley. We sat in the chair and read the book. I loved looking at the pictures of the dogs and screeching!

We had to leave the library quite suddenly because I spit up all over my dress! Mommy stripped me at home and I read more books.
Then we went to see Terry for my 9 month wellness check. Terry was silly and used all of her tools on my teddy bear before she used them on me. She showed me what she would do to me by doing them on Teddy first. My growth has slowed down a bit, but I am still tall! I am 28.25 inches tall which puts me in the 75th percentile. I weighed 18 pounds and 7 ounces which is still in the 50th percentile. Mommy thinks I've lost a little weight since I started crawling. My noggin is BIG! I'm in the 90th percentile. Terry said we're going to have to watch that a bit and make sure we don't have any huge gains. She didn't tell Mommy what it would mean, just said we don't want to see any large jumps. I only got one poke in my leg today and stopped crying pretty quickly. Terry said I look great and am a healthy little girl.

I wore my Alaska jammies from Auntie last night. I even got a matching night cap. Auntie bought Mommy and her jammie bottoms with bears that match mine. We are all going to wear them when we have Christmas at Nonna and Papa's house.

Whistle

Mommy finally was able to snap a picture of me "whistling." I blow in and out with my "O" lips and it makes a whistling sound sometimes. Mommy and Daddy tease me that I whistle like Grampa Rudy now! He thought it was pretty cool when we told him I could whistle like him though!

A Day at the Park

Yesterday after Daddy was done splitting wood I got to go to the park. I went down the slide with Daddy.

I went on the big swings with Mommy. I also went on a teeter-totter with Mommy and Daddy, but I didn't like it very much.

All that's left...

...of our tree is this BIG stump...

...and TONS of wood!
At least this amount of wood has already been hauled to Kaitlin's house or was put behind our garage for winter fires. We have a lot of wood yet!

Hot Shot

I've been a real "hot shot" lately and am standing up by myself to play with one of my toys.

Mommy and Daddy say I'm getting to be such a big girl!

What's This?

SWEET CORN!! Last night we were at Nonna and Papa's after they had dinner. They still had a platter of sweet corn on the table. I crawled right off Nonna's lap onto the table to investigate the platter. I pulled a cob off and started going to town!

After awhile I needed to get more comfortable.

Milwaukee Zoo

We spent the last day of Mommy's summer vacation at the Milwaukee Zoo with Nonna! This statue of the baby gorilla said "Compare Your Size to a Baby Gorilla." I was about the same size! I liked sitting for my picture and got really excited!

We saw the camels in the water. If you look closely you can see the camel baby too. He's hard to see because he was eating.

We had a fun time at the zoo but Mommy and I are both sad she has to go back to work. Mommy says the summer went by way too quickly! We are excited that she will have a couple days off after inservices this week so we can play some more.

Sunday Night Football

I watched the Vikings game on TV with Daddy tonight! Mommy wasn't so sure about putting my gear on me, but thought it was cute because I was in it! I have other Vikings gear to sport this season thanks to Tilly, a girl Daddy works with. Mommy thinks I'd look better wearing teal and orange.

I had my 9 month pictures taken a couple weeks ago and Mommy wasn't thrilled with the way they turned out. While we were at Grammy and Grampy's Mommy took them herself. I wore all the same clothes as the first try of my 9 month pictures, so you might notice some of the outfits.

Me and Benson

Today Daddy and Papa worked very hard and split a lot of wood! While they were working, Nonna, Mommy and I went to Grammy and Grampy Uhlenhake's house. Mommy's aunt was here from Idaho. I met Mommy's cousin, Benson. She just turned 4 and is quite fond of me.

Today we went to Auntie's house for Kurt's birthday party. Happy Birthday, Kurt!

BAD Hair Day!!

My hair looked pretty goofy tonight when Mommy took my pony out! I think I was having a bad hair day!

Big Girl

Daddy put my new car seat in Mommy's Jeep today. Mommy and Daddy say I look like a big girl in my new seat!

Snowball

Before Auntie left for Alaska, she promised me she'd bring back a polar bear. Today Auntie gave me my polar bear! I named him Snowball. I squeal with delight when I see him and like to carry him around by biting onto one of his legs. Mommy and Daddy say I look like a puppy when I do that!
