Last night we went to Relay for Life at Parkside. This year Papa and KK were on the Walgreens team. This was Papa's survivor shirt this year.
I sat on Papa's lap and listened to the opening ceremony.
Papa let me play with his survivor balloon and I thought that was the coolest thing in the world!
The survivor lap seemed to have so many more people than Mommy remembers in the past. While it's sad to see, it's also wonderful that so many people can say they beat cancer!
Here's Papa participating in the survivor lap. I also got to color on a luminary for Papa that was lit at night and placed around the track.
Sending balloons to heaven to those who are no longer with us. When the balloons were let go I cheered really loud and said, "Yeah, balloons!"
We walked a few laps and stopped by some of the booths for some yummy food and to enter raffles. Mommy actually won a raffle basket. She was so excited!
This is KK's manager. She helped him with his attire for the "Dude Looks Like a Lady" contest. He was a great sport and went with KK to the bridal shop in town to try on this dress and bring it home!
KK had to help another one of the assistant managers with his get up too! The guys walked around with purses to collect more money for Relay for Life. There were about 12 guys in the competition.
My cousin, Conner, made a surprise trip to Relay for Life too. He and his family arrived in Wisconsin for a wedding and came to check out Relay.
