Greek Fest

Tonight we went to Greek Fest with Nonna, Papa, KK and Josh. Papa and I wore our matching hats.

This year I was big enough to try some of the rides. First, Daddy and I went down the giant slide together.

Then Mommy and I went on the tea cup ride. I made our tea cup spin in circles.

Who can go to Greek Fest without eating some loukoumades?

Patriotic Snack

We used strawberries, string cheese, and blueberries to make a fun patriotic snack yesterday. Mommy made me use my brain to make my snack though. I had to tell her what color came next on the skewer. She said it was good pattern practice.

Painting

Since yesterday was so hot, I stopped at Hobby Lobby to get some fun things for us to do inside. I know I've said this a million times, but Crayola Color Wonder products are AWESOME! I found some finger paints this time. The paint is clear until you put it on the Color Wonder paper. This kept Ava very entertained!

Crash Helmet!

Since Ava has started to ride her bike on her own I've said we should probably get her a helmet. As I was watching her turn corners the other night I said we DEFINITELY need to get her a helmet! We went to Target last night and let her pick one out. First, she saw the princesses and wanted that. I showed her that there was also a Dora helmet and told her she could pick one. Dora won hands down! When she got outside she knocked on her head to make sure the helmet was on right then hopped on her bike and said, "Let's go around the block!"

Good thing Chris hasn't taken the push handle off yet. She made it about a quarter of the way around before being tuckered out. She put her feet on the pegs and let me push her the rest of the way.

Rockin' the Potty

I couldn't help myself! I had to tape Ava on the toilet tonight!

Fun Pictures

Dave and Jenn's backyard butts right up to the railroad tracks. The tracks aren't used on the weekends so I wanted to try to get a couple pictures. The kids ended up loving sitting there making towers with the rocks.

Happy Birthday, Brydon!

Saturday afternoon we went to celebrate Brydon's 6th birthday. We had fun playing on his swing set. He was pretty excited about his presents!

Cousins

Ava got to spend a lot of time playing with her cousins that she doesn't get to see too often. It was fun to watch them together. It won't be too much longer and Cruz will be out of that Exersaucer and running around with the rest of the kids!

The House of Bounce

Friday morning we left for Minnesota. Our first stop was to Grammy and Grampy Schouweiler's house. Grampy was doing tricks with his magnets for me.
We met Gramma and Grampa for supper then went to The House of Bounce. We met Kerry, Scott, Nadia and Cruz there. Nadia and I had fun jumping and sliding together!

I also played some games and got some tickets! Grampa played some games too. He gave Nadia and I the tickets he got so we could get some cool toys!

I followed Nadia right up to the top of this HUGE slide. It went really fast!

Happy Father's Day!

Today we went to Grammy and Grampy Zarletti's house for a cook out with Mommy's aunt and cousin. I had fun playing in the backyard with my Daddy. I love you, Daddy!!

First ER Visit

We made our first visit to the ER with Ava this morning. She took a nasty tumble (actually more of a log roll) down the steps from upstairs to the main level. She checked out fine except for her poor nose. She only complained about her nose. When the ER doc asked if he could look at her nose she said, "No there's boogers in there!" We stopped at "Old McDonalds" on the way home for some ice cream since she was so brave at the ER.

Happy Father's Day

We went by the lake to take some special pictures for Daddy. Mommy used these pictures to make...

this for Daddy! Daddy is going to take it to his office.

Zoo Day

Daddy was took off again today so we went to the zoo. We went into some buildings and saw some animals we usually don't see. We went into the bird building and then to the sea lion show.

This guy stuck his tongue out at us!
He wanted to take a nap!
The baby was really swinging around and tried getting on his Momma's back. She didn't like that too much. The baby bit her!
Momma kept making silly sounds with her lips. She was funny to watch.
