Frog Zoo Class

We've been without internet for a few days, so here are some pictures from Ava's zoo class Monday morning. The theme was frogs and it was our last summer class. We are signed up for a fall class though. The classes are too great to stop when summer is over! She got to paint a large frog with foam paint and a sponge tool.
We made a frog puppet and caught flies that were hanging from the ceiling.
 She matched frogs by color.
The water table filled with water, rocks, lily pads and toy tadpoles and frogs was her absolute favorite! I had to remind her there were other things to do! We also made a frog costume and hopped around on the lily pads and "pond." They also had a tank of tadpoles for us to watch while we painted a tadpole picture. Ava ate "bugs" for a snack and got to see a frog that was brought in for class.
I was able to get into a morning class this time so when we were done we walked around the zoo for a little bit and then had a picnic lunch. We visited some animals we usually don't visit. We saw some turtles.

Ava watched the mountain goats for a bit and then requested to go look at some "real animals!"
We also saw the moose resting in the shade.
Here's my little frog modeling her frog costume.
