Water Table Time!

Last night, I thought our day was going to be completely ruined with the severe storms we were supposed to have throughout the day. Thankfully I was wrong! We got to squeeze about an hour in after naps and before the storms to play with the water table!
I love watching the girls play together and Gianna mimic Ava.

Donut Picnic

This morning the girls and I headed down to the lake to have a donut picnic. We brought our swimming attire, but the wind made it a little too chilly to use the splash pad.
"Forget sharing with you, Ava! I want my own!"
 EMMMMMM!

We got to watch some boat in the marina while we ate.

Since we didn't play in the water after our donut picnic, we headed to the park.

 Digging in!
 "See my sand, Mom?"

After the park, we loaded back up and went to find the new boardwalk.
Ava loved finding out what a boardwalk was and skipping along it!

Kenosha Civic Parade

Sunday we took the girls down to the parade. Dad and Chris got down to the parade route at 6AM to put the canopy up and caution tape our area off. We had a perfect spot in Library Park and the girls got to run around while waiting for the parade to start.

Waiting for the parade is tough work!

Gianna was a hot shot in the big girl chair!
She loved watching and clapping for the people and vehicles that went thru the parade.
 Clearly, she was quite entertained.
 Goof ball!

Here's cousin Joe in the middle with the flag.

1:30 is way past nap time...someone started to get really sleepy!
Ava was beyond thrilled that the King Fish was in the parade.

This group from Chicago is always a favorite! Ava was waiting all day for "the trick guys."

Helping Daddy

Our expediter was over to go complete some of the things on our punch and 30 days lists. He fixed some nail pop spots for us so Chris and Ava worked on a few touch up spots the other night. Ava was eager to help Chris paint!

Anniversary Celebration at the Zoo!

Tuesday Chris and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary. He had the day off while I subbed summer school. (I think he secretly liked staying home a day in the summer while I got up to go to work!) After I was done teaching, we packed the girls up and headed to the zoo for a couple hours before they closed. The poor bears were the subject for my paparazzi this time! They were so lazy, but so entertaining to watch! This guy just wadded around his pool.
This one crawled in but was too tired to do much more!
 Nap time!
This guy's facial expressions had me laughing!!

 Lady, please no more pictures!

One of my little sweeties stopping for a snack.

 Sharing with Daddy!

It was time for our yearly photo by the horses. It looks like this year I have a standard horse and a miniature horse!

We decided to go on a carousel ride before we left. Gianna wasn't quite sure what to think at first.
It didn't take long for her to realize the carousel was pretty cool!
It was nice to have a family day in the middle of the week!
