Happy Thanksgiving!

We spent Thanksgiving at Nonna and Papa's this year with Josh, Kaitlin and my grandparents.
 Gianna got her "grasshopper."
Then Ava and Papa made the real grasshoppers!

First Snow Fall

The first snow fall of the season sure was a big one! We took a break from Lego building to play in the snow.

I love the view out the living room window with a fresh blanket of snow!
Poor Gianna had a hard time walking in the snow so she spent most of her time laying in it.
Then she just got mad she couldn't keep up with Ava.
Ava grabbed the sled out of the garage and Gianna went sledding the back yard.

Legos

Ava has really gotten in to Legos and got a few sets for her birthday. We spent the day building one of the sets. Ava worked really hard to follow the directions and build the Cinderella set. I think I may have had more fun though.

Birthday Party, Take Two!

We had a great time at our house celebrating Ava's birthday with family and friends. We ended up getting a lot of snow though, so Papa had to plow snow. Grammy and Grampy Zarletti stayed home too because the weather was too bad for them to be out.
It was so nice to get the kids together again. It's been too long!
 Gianna was lovin' on Reid.

Love getting the group photos of all the kids.
Ava still is unsure what to think when everyone sings to her!

She needed a little help from Nonna to get the candles blown out!

She worked hard to open that box!

Happy 6th Birthday, Ava!

Hard to believe that I have been decorating my "baby's" door for 6 years! It doesn't possibly seem that long ago that I brought her home from the hospital.
Trying to wake Ava up without shaking her awake was a bit difficult. I had to plan an earlier wake up time due to the door decorations.

 Finally, she's awake!
Nonna and Papa joined us for a birthday dinner at Texas Roadhouse. As we were waiting for our food to come, Ava turned to Nonna and said, "Would you please stop spitting on me! You've done it twice now!" My mom looked at her completely confused. Ava kept insisting Nonna was spitting on her head. I felt her head and sure enough, it was wet. It was raining really hard outside and the roof was leaking! We had to move tables and it was a good thing we did. When we left the booth we were in had a large puddle on the seat!
She got to ride the saddle. The sweet woman in the background didn't think that was enough though and started everyone in singing happy birthday to Ava!
A special treat for the birthday girl.
