Zoo

Yesterday Daddy had off because he worked on Easter. It was a beautiful day so we headed to the Milwaukee Zoo after my nap. I liked looking at the birds on the pond.
I decided after awhile that I was too cool for my stroller and wanted to walk around by myself. Mommy thought I should have been left with the monkeys the way I was trying to climb on the fence.

The monkeys were my favorite. I made monkey sounds at them.

The elephant on the right was dancing for us. She was silly!
I liked watching these crazy cows eat.
I also got a kick out of this big pig. I snorted at her.

We had a fun day at the zoo!

My Friend Sadie

This afternoon my new friend, Sadie, came to our house for a little while so her Mommy could go to an appointment. At first I stood up and looked at her.
The I got on the floor by her and looked at her pretty face.

Then I got more brave and got closer and talked to her.

I liked having Baby Sadie at my house. I was extremely gentle and even gave her a kiss on her spikey hair. I hope I get to visit with Sadie again soon!

Rainy Days are Perfect for...

...playing at the library! Every month they switch some of the activites based on the theme of the month. This month the theme is bugs. I built with these cool blocks that have colored sand inside of them.
Then I played at the "Southwest Garden Center." I looked at some real bugs that were incased in a clear plastic block.
Then I went over by the "picnic blanket" and found this baby! I gave her kisses and hugs. I liked her blinking eyes.

Then I put some puzzles together.
They also have an area with an art project set up. (Mommy doesn't know why the picture kept flipping when she uploaded it.) Mommy helped me to cut snips to make the grass. Then I used the cut circle stickers to make some bugs in my grass. I had a fun time at the library and cried when Mommy told me we had to go home for lunch. I think I will beg Mommy to take me to the library lots in the summer!

Richard Simmons Wannabe

Are you jealous of my headbands? Daddy said I work out so hard I need 5 sweatbands! Actually I figured out how to unzip a bag Mommy has some of my clips in and I found all these old headbands. I couldn't choose one, so I went for all of them! I was making a train noise in while Mommy took this picture.
Here's a better shot so you can see my variety.

Old McDonald

I am trying to sing Old McDonald. My favorite line (and the only one I try to sing) is moo moo here, moo moo there.

I Love You!

I've started to say, "I love you." I was saying it really well and then I decided to be more silly once Mommy took the camera out. Notice the 8 hair bows in my hair. Mommy and her friend, Nikki, got together to make bows for Addy and I today so I had to model them ALL at once!

The Magic of Peeps

I got to experience Peeps tonight!! Nonna had some out on the table, so I helped myself to not one, but two Peeps. At first I made them hop around on the table because I didn't realize I could eat the sweet treat! I got a tiny taste of the sugar and then nibbled the ears off both bunnies.
 Emmm...these things are delicious!
Mommy says they are better if you leave them sit out a couple days.

Nonna's Flowers

I found Nonna's flowers today! You can pick them...
 drop them...
 smell them...
 try to eat them...
 and giggle at them!

Easter at Nonna and Papa's

Daddy and KK had to work today so this morning Mommy and I went to Nonna and Papa's for breakfast. Papa made fritatta. It was the first time I had it and I gobbled it right up! We went home so I could take a nap and we could wait for Daddy. We went back later for dinner. The Easter Bunny made a visit to Nonna and Papa's too!

KK and Mommy smooshed my face with some lovins.

KK got me these cool shades!

Happy Easter!

Mommy was so excited that she was able to take some nice outdoor photos of me again! She was worried it would be too cold for me to go outside in just my dress, but it turned out to be a beautiful Easter day! I'm standing on what's left of our huge tree in the backyard.

I didn't like how the grass felt on my bare legs. I wanted to get up as soon as I sat down!

The Easter Bunny Came!!

The Easter Bunny stopped at our house a day early because he knew Daddy has to be to work early tomorrow morning. He wanted us to have time to have fun together. The Bunny left a trail of eggs from my bedroom door to my basket in the living room!
At first I kept calling the eggs balls. Mommy and Daddy told me they were eggs. I picked up as many eggs and I possibly could!
The eggs open! I opened up each one once I made that discovery.
I eventually made it to my basket! The bunny brought me books, a big bubble wand and some HUGE eggs with animals and people for my Little People toys. Thank you, Easter Bunny!

Easter Eggs

WOW! What a difference a year makes. Last year when Mommy and I dyed Easter eggs I had to sit in my Bumbo because I still couldn't sit on my own. I wore a bib 24/7 because my favorite thing to do was spit up! The eggs were able to sit in the dye undisturbed and the newspaper sat so nicely on the floor...

THIS year...I wanted to read ALL the articles in the paper after Daddy layed them on the ground.
I danced and squealed on the paper.
I sat in Daddy's lap just long enough for Mommy to snap a picture. I just wanted to dye the eggs!
I didn't want the eggs to be in the dye too long, so I made sure they got out in an acceptable amount of time!

Then I had to check on the green egg...time for it to come out!

We all had some funny colored fingers when we were done. I went straight to the tub because I'd gotten so much dye all over myself! I had fun dying my eggs!
