My Sandbox

Papa took me for a walk around the block on Saturday after Mommy and Daddy dropped me off and we found this cute ladybug sandbox on someone's curb! Papa asked me if I wanted it and of course I did, so they picked it up and brought it home. It's perfect for me and has a little lid that's attached. I LOVED playing in it and got really mad at Mommy for making me go in the house. Great find Papa!

UW-L Visit

Friday, Chris and I celebrated our fifth anniversary. Saturday morning we dropped Ava off at my parents' house and headed to LaCrosse. Chris had plans that he would not share! He bought me an hour hot stone massage at Sue Kolves in Onalaska. After that we went back to the hotel and a little person knocked on our door. My parents had driven up later and brought Ava with. We all went for a walk on campus so we could see some of the changes since Chris and I graduated. We always joke and say Ava has to be exposed to UW-L early because we will not help her pay for college if she chooses to go anywhere else. (Can you tell we both loved LaCrosse?
We were able to get a nice family shot outside of Cartwright.
This is the clock tower that's in the middle of campus.

These are the doors I walked through hundreds of times while earning my teaching degree!

Ava's ready to start college. She looks pretty tiny next to this new huge building on campus! They knocked down three buildings (2 dorms and an office/counseling building) to build this. We heard it was $44 million! We had to cut our walk short because it started raining.

A Zoo Day

On Friday KK, Mommy and I went to the zoo. It was a perfect day for it...just a little cool and overcast.

We saw lots of male peacocks showing off their pretty feathers.

My New Haircut

After my nap today, I went to the salon and Nonna cut my hair. Everyone there commented that I don't look like a baby anymore. I am a big girl and my haircut makes me look more like a big girl.

I was cracking up at something outside while Mommy took my pictures!

Picking Strawberries

This morning I went to pick strawberries with Nonna and Mommy. I had my basket in hand and was ready to do some offroad stroller riding!
At first I walked next to Mommy with my basket and let her put strawberries into it. I quickly realized I could eat the berries she was putting in!

I helped Nonna carry some baskets farther down our rows.

See my face? Good thing they don't weigh you before and after you pick berries. I bet Mommy and Nonna wouldn't have been able to pay for all the berries I ate! :)

Emmm...look at all the berries we picked! We filled 6 baskets that will be turned into delicious jam!

See my berries Nonna?

My Button

DISCLAIMER...I just ate a lot of pizza and watermelon before this picture, so my belly is larger than usual! Awhile ago Daddy taught me where my "button" was. I think it's so funny to poke my finger in my button and show it to everyone. Mommy finally had her camera out when I did it today.

Nonna's Watering Can

I found something to entertain myself in Nonna and Papa's backyard this afternoon! At first I just poked my fingers into the water a little bit. Mommy or Daddy didn't tell me to stop, so I figured I better splash away!

Happy Father's Day!!

I love you Daddy and Papa!

This picture was special for my Mommy! Whenever Nonna wanted a nice picture of Mommy and KK they would wait until right before the picture was snapped and would make a goofy face. It always made Nonna mad. Mommy just thought it was funny that I actually stuck my tongue out when Papa told me to.

What's This Stuff For?

This plus...
mozarella cheese and...

garlic oil and...

dough and...

Papa's new Mega Lifter could only mean one thing...

PIZZA ON THE GRILL!!!

This year was the first time I got to taste pizza on the grill. Last summer I bounced away happily in my Jumperoo. I thought that was fun, but eating the pizza was WAY better!

Grammy and Grampy's Farm

This morning we went to Grammy and Grampy Uhlenhake's house. This was the first time that I really have been out by the animals and in the barn. I was too little before and then it was always really cold, or really muddy. I saw lots of Grammy's chickens. I heard the rooster make a really loud cock-a-doodle-do! Then Mommy wanted to take a picture of me and Papa on Grampy's tractors, but I HATED the tractor!
Then we went in the barn to see the cows.

These two calves were cute!

Papa showed me how to feed the cows some hay.

There were even some new kitties in the barn. I think Minnie was overtaking the food!

Grampy had fun watching me ride around on the cool bike. I liked the streamers hanging from the handlebars.

Opening Weekend

This was the opening weekend for perch season. Daddy and Papa went out fishing on the breakwater in Lake Michigan. Nonna, KK, Mommy and I ordered pizza and then went to take pictures of Papa and Daddy. Mommy used Papa's telephoto lens and got some good pictures even though the boat was far away.

Daddy and Papa spotted us, so they zoomed over to the pier to talk to us. They weren't having any luck with anything but the gobies (those aren't fish you keep).

We chatted a little and then Papa and Daddy headed back out.

Sadie's Pictures

Yesterday after summer school Mommy and Nikki took Sadie's pictures.

Sadie's Mommy is a great tennis player. Sadie got an adorable tennis dress, so Nikki and Mommy tried some tennis pictures.
