There are several reasons we've been visiting the library a ton lately (at least twice a week.)
1. It's SUPER close to Nonna and Papa's house.
2. We couldn't possibly have brought all of the my books with us when we moved into Nonna and Papa's house. Since I had to choose a handful of books to bring with, we need to borrow books so I don't get bored with my books.
3. The library has the books Jackhammer Sam and I Love You Stinky Face, which are my favorites.
4. The library has a fun summer reading program! Mommy says it's way cooler than when she was little.
5. It's fun to play there!
Our usual library day is Wednesday afternoon after Mommy picks me up from Zivka's. We also usually go one other day during the week. Our "other" day last week was Saturday. The girls went while Papa and Daddy rented a special mower to mow our lot. (It was really bad...some of the weeds were shoulder height on Daddy!) Mommy and Daddy said they felt bad that John (our someday neighbor) had to look at that. I found this huge bear sitting on a chair and decided to make him my reading buddy.
While we were there Mommy and I completed a couple more of the challenges for my reading program so I could earn the bouncy ball I've been working for. We read a poetry book and a book from a display to complete two more challenges. When we were done with them I handed my reading log that showed all the minutes I read and what challenges I completed to the librarian. I earned my bouncy ball and two tickets to enter into a special prize drawing. I also got to write my name on a mole to hang on the bulletin board so people know I've completed my reading program. Mommy and I are going to do the reading program again!
