Grill Pizza

Saturday night we went to Nonna and Papa's for pizza on the grill. Auntie and Kurt came too. Mommy and Auntie rolled out the pizza dough.
All the big people drank wine...
and made their pizzas.
I played in my Jumperoo and enjoyed being outside.

My first...

TOOTH! My fingers have been in mouth a lot more lately because I got my first tooth! It popped through the skin on Tuesday. Other than waking sometimes at night I wasn't too irratated by the whole ordeal. Pretty soon you might see the pearly white on the bottom in my pictures.

Hanging with Daddy

Daddy showed me a lot of new things in the yard today...
He showed me the sparkling pond he just cleaned. He told me all about the big fish in the pond and how they survived all winter.
I love my Daddy!

Bubbles

Today was a beautiful day! After we went to Steins and Target I played outside with Mommy and Daddy. I love when they blow bubbles for me!

Sippy Cup

Mommy and Daddy gave me a sippy cup to try. Dr. Terry told them they could start to give it to me with some water. She wants me to start drinking some of my formula out of it so by the time I am one my bottles will be all gone! At first I thought the whole contraption was a bit strange.
Then I discovered if I sucked on it I could get something out and get myself all wet! I don't know how I feel about actually drinking the water yet, but it is fun to suck on it and get myself all wet!

Gramma Putz

I have started to pull my bottom lip in and hum. Mommy laughs at me and tells me I look like a gramma who forgot to put her teeth in!

Little Fish

Papa came to watch me swim on Saturday. He took some pictures of me and Mommy. Diver Dan taught my lesson. He was Mommy's swimming teacher when she was little. Mommy said she wished he taught all of my lessons. I did a lot of new stuff on Saturday and did excellent. I even went to Diver Dan and let him pass me to Mommy under the water!

Mommy says I'm getting better and better at going under the water. I am watching her and am starting to understand what it means when she says, "1, 2, 3, here we go!"

HOT...HOT...HOT

Today was a HOT Wisconsin day! It was 87 degrees. Daddy went fishing with Papa so Mommy and I played outside and then went shopping with Nonna.
I watched airplanes flying in the sky.
I brought my baby outside to enjoy the weather too.

Vino Per Favore!

Tonight we went to Nonna and Papa's house and had some wine. I wanted some too so I grabbed onto Daddy's glass!

Too much wine for me! I can't see straight anymore.

Green Beans

I tried green beans tonight. I didn't like them as much as I like peas, but I didn't spit them at Mommy or make funny faces.

Girl Time

Daddy had wrestling tonight so Mommy and I played outside and enjoyed the weather. First, we blew bubbles. I've never seen or touched them before. I liked trying to catch them.
Then I got to swing. I laughed everytime Mommy pushed me and said, "Whee!"
After swinging we took pictures of the pretty flowers in the back yard.

After that I took a bath and got Mommy and the floor soaking wet! I think it's funny to get Mommy as wet as possible with my kicking and arm flailing.

6 Months Old

Chris and I have managed to keep another human alive for a half of a year! Monday was Ava's 6 month birthday. She got to celebrate by going to the doctor for her wellness check and getting two pokes in the legs. She's actually quite a trooper with her shots! Ava weighed 16.4 pounds (50th percentile) and was 27.25 inches (95th percentile.) It continues to look like she's taken after the Uhlenhake side and will be a tall girl. By the end of the week we're suppose to hear back from Dr. Rocco so we know what the plan for assessing her milk protein allergy will be. Terry didn't seem too quick to say we were going to try introducing the milk again because her allergy was so severe. She loves to eat her cereal and has tried peas and green beans. Peas seem to be the favorite so far. She lives for her Jumperoo and goes crazy with the toys around it! Her favorite toys are her taggie blankets, chew rings and her linking chains. She has fun sticking everything into her mouth and pulling on cheeks, noses and hair. Ruth told me today that Ava has started a new thing and holds onto Ruth's face whenever they walk somewhere.

I Love My Auntie!

I always have fun with my Auntie at her house! I can't wait until I get older beacause then she can share all her treats with me! She always has candy and ice cream at her house! Mommy said she's not allowed to sugar me up and send me home though! Hehehe...Auntie and I are going to cause trouble when I get older!

I rode on the crazy flamingo Auntie has at her house!

Toes in the Grass

A couple weekends ago we went to Auntie's house so Daddy could help Papa and Grampy put a gas line in for Auntie's new stove. It was a nice day so I got to put my toes in the grass for the first time. (Can you believe Mommy forgot her camera? We used Auntie's instead that's why it took so long to get these pictures up!) The green grass made me giggle when I felt it on my feet.
Touching the grass was fun!

Maybe I can grab a fist full of this stuff!
I loved the breeze on my face!
Auntie made a comfy chair!

Tee It Up Fore Ty

Mommy and I had a busy Saturday! Daddy was up north with Uncle Steve playing lumberjack at the farm, so Mommy and I had a girls weekend! We went swimming this morning. I went under the water four times and didn't cry! I also did a lot of kicking. Tonight we went to the Tee It Up Fore Ty benefit for a little boy named Ty that is in kindergarten at Mommy's school. We saw a lot of Mommy's students there and lots of people had to get a peek at me.
Mommy and her friend, Nikki, were silly and went into the bouncy with some of the students from their school. Mommy went down the slide! Next year I think I'll go with her.
