Chris and I have managed to keep another human alive for a half of a year! Monday was Ava's 6 month birthday. She got to celebrate by going to the doctor for her wellness check and getting two pokes in the legs. She's actually quite a trooper with her shots! Ava weighed 16.4 pounds (50th percentile) and was 27.25 inches (95th percentile.) It continues to look like she's taken after the Uhlenhake side and will be a tall girl. By the end of the week we're suppose to hear back from Dr. Rocco so we know what the plan for assessing her milk protein allergy will be. Terry didn't seem too quick to say we were going to try introducing the milk again because her allergy was so severe. She loves to eat her cereal and has tried peas and green beans. Peas seem to be the favorite so far. She lives for her Jumperoo and goes crazy with the toys around it! Her favorite toys are her taggie blankets, chew rings and her linking chains. She has fun sticking everything into her mouth and pulling on cheeks, noses and hair. Ruth told me today that Ava has started a new thing and holds onto Ruth's face whenever they walk somewhere.
