Reindeer Zoo Class

Chris and I took a Monday off of work to take Ava to her first four year old zoo class. The topic was reindeer. She got to make a reindeer place mat, book and costume. They watched a movie about a reindeer, traveled in a heard like reindeer (with clickers to simulate the clicking muscle in the reindeer's leg and all), packaged some reindeer food and played with reindeer in "snow." Her teacher gave her a red nose to complete her reindeer costume.

At the end of class, we walked into the zoo to see the reindeer.
We were greeted by Santa and Mrs. Claus!
Mrs. Claus pulled out the book of children on the "nice list" and Santa gave those children a candy cane.
Ava made the "nice list" and got her candy cane. While we were looking at the reindeer, Ava raised her hand in front of all the other kids and adults so she could talk to Santa. When he called on her she told him she was baking him some cookies for when he stopped at our house. She is getting more and more comfortable around others. It was another shocking moment that I could not believe she said what she did! After class we went shopping and to Culvers for lunch. It was a fun afternoon with the three of us!
